The purpose of the award is for this educational-training programme to “travel” to as many children as possible.

In Greece, a country with 13,676 kilometers of coastline, there are an average of 344 sea-related fatalities each year, many of which result from a lack of knowledge of basic swimming rules and safe boating practices.

Safe Water Sports has successfully educated and informed over 40,000 students through its educational programme.
