Step on board the Neraida and embark on a creative journey through space and time!
Participation in all educational activities is free.
1. Educational Programme “Travelling with the Neraida: A game on board”
What is the story of the "Neraida"? Where in Greece did its passengers travel to? What stories do its objects and crew hide? How does it manage to stay afloat today?
With the help of qualified museum pedagogues, explore the historic ship of the Saronic Gulf line through a series of activities. The programme takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 09:30 and 11:30 on site, at the Museum premises, upon application for participation. Entry to the Museum and participation in the educational programme are free.
2. Educational Portfolios
Learn about the history of the passenger ship “Neraida” and its conversion into a floating museum through rich printed and visual material (videos, images, activity cards, etc.). The Educational Portfolios are sent free of charge to primary school teachers upon application. They are designed to be used in the classroom under the teachers' guidance and come with detailed instructions on suggested activities and games, tailored to the needs of each student age group. The three available Educational Portfolios are:

"Anchors Aweigh!" for 3rd & 4th Grade Students
What does it take for a ship to sail? Who makes up its crew? Where is everyone located, and what are their duties? Help Neraida set sail!

"Neraida: A Ship Full of Stories!" for 5th & 6th Grade Students
When does the story of the boat "Neraida" begin? How did it come to Greece? Why was it named that way? Where did it travel, and when? What strange events occurred on the ship?

3. Interactive Online Guided Tours
As a part of this activity, students have the chance to take a virtual tour of the Museum’s exhibition spaces, discover the objects and stories of the ship, meet the crew members, and, depending on the age group, participate in remote activities related to travel and the sea, ships and navigation, communication and transportation, people and memories.
The Interactive Online Guided Tours are offered free of charge from Tuesday to Thursday, 09:00-13:00, via online platforms (Webex, Zoom, Skype, etc.) and upon application. They last about 1 hour and are available to all school units in the country.
Applications for Participation
To participate in the programmes, you need to complete the respective forms below. Within two days of receiving your application, the museum staff will contact you to schedule the Educational Programme, and/or send the Educational Portfolios, and/or organize the Interactive Online Guided Tour.
